Belgian-Dutch Consultation Days of the Cross-Border Information Point Maastricht<\/h3>\n

We regularly organize consultation days for cross-border workers between Belgium and the Netherlands. In 2026, citizens from the Euregio who work or have worked in the neighboring country can once again put their questions to various experts in Maastricht. Questions concerning social security in Belgium or the Netherlands can be addressed to the advisors of the Bureau voor Belgische Zaken (BBZ) of the Sociale Verzekeringsbank (SVB). Assistance with tax-related questions is provided by the Team GWO of the Belastingdienst.<\/p>\n

Who are these consultation sessions intended for?<\/h4>\n

 <\/p>\n

Are you planning to move to the neighboring country, work there, start a business, or study there? If so, many new issues may arise. This is particularly true in the areas of social security and taxation. You may also have practical questions, for example about importing a vehicle or the differences in employment law.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

To receive answers to all these questions from a single point of contact, you can make use of the free consultation service of the Cross-Border Information Point Maastricht, organized in cooperation with the Bureau voor Belgische Zaken (BBZ) and the Team GWO.<\/p>\n

Who are the advisors?<\/h4>\n

 <\/p>\n

These consultation days are organized in cooperation with the Bureau voor Belgische Zaken (BBZ) and the GWO Team.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

If you have questions about incapacity for work, unemployment, pensions, child benefits, or healthcare coverage<\/em>, you can consult the Bureau voor Belgische Zaken (BBZ) during these sessions. BBZ is part of the SVB and, in addition to carrying out tasks for the SVB, also performs activities on behalf of the Uitvoeringsinstituut Werknemersverzekeringen (UWV) and the CAK.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

For all tax-related questions, such as tax returns, the taxation of income and assets, or the prevention of double taxation<\/em>, you can consult the Team GWO. The Team GWO is a cooperation between the Dutch and German tax authorities. During the consultation sessions, staff members of the Belastingdienst will be available to assist you. If you have tax questions concerning both the Netherlands and Germany, you are also welcome to contact us. We can provide an appropriate solution for those situations as well.<\/p>\n

For practical questions, for example regarding vehicle importation, differences in holiday entitlements, applying for a BSN (Citizen Service Number), or obtaining a national identification number<\/em>, you can contact one of the staff members of the Cross-Border Information Point Maastricht. The Cross-Border Information Point Maastricht works closely with the Cross-Border Employment Team, enabling us to assist you with questions concerning employment in the neighboring country as well.<\/p>\n
